1909 June 30: The first game at the park saw the Cubbies beat the Pirates 3-2 before a crowd of more than 30,000.
1920 October 2: The last major league tripleheader is played as Cincinnati wins 2 of 3 over the host Pirates.
1926 August 26: Pirates outfielder Paul Waner goes 6 for 6, including 2 doubles and a triple.
1935 May 25: Babe Ruth whacks three home runs, a single and 6 RBI's. Included was homer run number 714 of his career, his last home run in the big leagues.
1940 June 4: The Pirates rout the Braves 14-4 at the first night game played here.
1960 October 14: In the last World Series game played at Forbes, Bill Mazeroski belts World Series clinching home run in the bottom of the 9th inning of Game 7 against the Yankees. Pirates win 10-9.
1970 June 28: The Pirates bid farewell to the park with a doubleheader win over the Cubs before a crowd of nearly 41,000.
