Lost Ballparks

Welcome to the Lost Ballparks section.

There have been well over 100 ballparks where major league baseball has been played. This section however is mostly dedicated to the parks that have been silent for quite some time. Sadly most of them met their fate to the ball and  bulldozer, thus reducing them from baseball palaces loaded with memories, to parking lots and other mundane markers. No longer can we go have a seat at the yard where Mickey Mantle hit his fabled 565 foot home run. Nor can we go to the greenery where the first All Star game was played in 1933. What we can do is not totally bury the parks, but try and preserve some of the images  and moments that kept the National Pasttime flourishing until they met their fateful day.
